During a week focused on the theme of gratitude, the Museum welcomed students to practice the discipline of sustained attention with a work of art to foster deeper experiences of wonder, relationship, and love. After a slowed-down, uninterrupted observation of a work of art, Moreau students considered various ways artists, their works, and spaces like museums help us more fully attend to the gifts of the world and our lives. Led by Moreau faculty instructors and Raclin Murphy student gallery teachers, classes filled every corner of the Museum—and even spilled outside into the Charles B. Hayes Family Sculpture Park—as over 2,000 students visited in five days.
