Join the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art for an evening with Dr. Daisy Fancourt, researcher, professor at University College London, and author of Art Cure: The Science of How the Arts Save Lives, which is a Sunday Times Bestseller and a shortlisted title for the Women's Prize for non-fiction. An internationally recognized leader in the growing field of arts and health, Dr. Fancourt studies how music, visual art, dance, theater, and museum engagement can reduce stress, improve well-being, strengthen social connections, and support healing.
During this talk, Dr. Fancourt will explore the powerful role the arts can play in human flourishing, offering new perspectives on why creative experiences matter and how art museums are not only places to encounter art, but spaces where wellness, reflection, and human connection can thrive.
Parking is available in the Visitor Lot immediately behind the Museum, north of the Sculpture Park, for free after 4:30 p.m. and on weekends. Parking can also be found along Angela Blvd. If traveling via South Bend Transpo, take the No.7 bus and use the stop at Notre Dame Ave. and Angela Blvd.
