Parking for The Friends

The University of Notre Dame Parking Services has changed the campus parking benefit for the Friends Members (Friends & Family level and above) to ensure consistency with how parking is handled for other similar affiliate groups. We have been working with them on behalf of our membership to ensure a successful visit to your art museum.

For those members who were issued parking hang tags, please note that the University only authorizes the issuance of parking gate access credentials to faculty and staff. However, we have negotiated parking in non-gated lots as an included benefit for Charter Members at no additional cost. New Charter Members who join between now and December 2024 are eligible for a temporary permit valid in any non-gated lot.

Please note, the Bookstore 1 Hour Lot remains time-limited.

As a reminder, permits and pay-to-park are not required in non-reserved spaces after 4:00 PM Monday through Friday and weekends except during major events. Recall the Museum is open late on Thursdays until 7:30 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays, noon-5:00 PM.

Specifically, the following lots are most convenient for Museum member parking. The Walsh lots are behind the Museum and are the closest (2-3-minute walk). Additionally, the Eddy Street Commons Parking Garage (located at 1228 N Eddy Street) offers free 2-hour parking (6-minute walk). Free street parking is currently available on Eddy Street, and more is forthcoming on Angela after the current construction.

Please note, Friends who display an active permit in these lots do not need to pay using ParkMobile when visiting the Raclin Murphy.

Handicapped accessible parking is available along the western walk of Walsh Visitor Lot (permit or ParkMobile required) and in the DPAC ADA Lot north east of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (permit required). Curbside drop off is always available at the front doors of the Raclin Murphy.
