Every year the Summer Apprentice Program at the Snite Museum of Art provides area high school artists with a two-week-long immersive art experience exploring a medium or genre of art. Students are recommended by their art teachers in the spring, complete an application, and participate in a portfolio review and interview before being accepted into the program. The culmination of the two-week program is a week-long exhibition of their work.

This summer, students explored the impact of the digital world and technology on visual art with artist, educator, and Notre Dame MFA candidate, Katie Neece.

The program was made possible with the support from the Margreta Gibbs and James Larson Family Endowment for Excellence.
