This focus exhibition continued the examination of the themes—light, color, form, subject matter—introduced in the exhibition Cassatt and Beyond: Paintings from the Flint Institute of Arts with prints and drawings by the same artists in addition to other modernists, such as Paul Cézanne, Edouard Manet, Berthe Morisot, and James A. McNeill Whistler.
