Snite Museum of Art
June 24–September 23, 2012

This presentation of eight turn-of-the-century modernist paintings complemented the Snite's holdings of academic art and introduced visitors to a transitional period when the avant-garde's once-challenging ideas were embraced and assimilated. In addition to Mary Cassatt, artists represented in the exhibition included Eugène Boudin, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pierre Bonnard, Edouard Vuillard, Alfred Stevens, and American impressionists Childe Hassam and Frederick Frieseke.
