This exhibition of paintings and sculptures inspired by trees and birds was the result of a trip to Sequoia National Forest in California made by Indianapolis artist James Wille Faust and funded by a Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship Grant awarded by the Arts Council of Indianapolis.

Faust earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture from the Herron School of Art and Design and Master of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Illinois. His numerous public art works can be seen in the Indianapolis area, such as his sculptures in Artspark and outside the Herron School of Art on the campus of IUPUI.

This exhibition was generously funded by Dr. and Mrs. R. Stephen Lehman.
