The Summer Apprentice Program is an immersive art experience designed for high school artists from area school districts. Qualifying students spend two weeks at the Snite Museum of Art exploring, in-depth, a single medium under the guidance of a practicing artist. The program also includes time spent in the Museum’s galleries, guest artist talks by Notre Dame MFA candidates, and trips to area art museums and artists’ studios.

To be considered for the program, students must first be recommended by their art teachers, complete an application, and participate in a portfolio review interview. Accepted students receive all of the necessary supplies and a stipend.

The Summer Apprentice Program is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Margreta Gibbs and James Larson Family.
