The Snite Museum will be open from noon until 5:00 p.m., but access to campus by car and parking will be inconvenient for museum visitors unless you are also going to either the basketball or hockey game scheduled for Saturday, January 5.
The following information was provided to us by the ND Athletics Department.
The only free campus parking option on January 5 for museum visitors is parking in White Field at the far north end of campus and then riding the free shuttle bus service to the Hesburgh Library circle. The Snite Museum entrance is only a 6-12 minute walk away, depending on the size of the campus crowd and your pace.
We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend you consider visiting the Snite Museum of Art on a future date. We are open until 7:30 p.m. every Thursday.
January 5 Parking Options Available
On January 5, Irish men's basketball hosts Syracuse at Noon and hockey hosts Michigan at Notre Dame Stadium at 3:30 p.m., presented by Meijer.
Continuing the parking model the University implemented for special events like the Garth Brooks concert and the NHL Winter Classic, we will utilize a similar method on January 5 to promote an orderly flow of traffic to and from campus.
Below is a summary of how parking will be managed on January 5, with lots opening at 9 a.m.:
