Parking and Travel

Convenient parking on the Notre Dame campus is available in the Walsh Architecture Visitor Lot.

The Walsh Architecture Visitor Lot is accessible by Holy Cross Drive on the east side of the Walsh Family Hall of Architecture (located north of the Raclin Murphy and Charles B. Hayes Family Sculpture Park).

There is a handicap accessible parking lot on the corner of Holy Cross Drive and St. André Way.

Campus parking is free of charge after 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends, except for football Saturdays. So, you could enjoy free parking if you visit the Museum on weekends or between 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

During regular University business hours (Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. - 4 p.m.), all visitors must pay to park in any campus lot using ParkMobile, which allows payments using their app, their website (ParkMobile.io), by texting “PARK” to 77223, by Google Pay, or, if you don’t have a smartphone, by calling 1-877-727-5007.

There is free two-hour street parking spaces along E. Angela Blvd. adjacent to the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art. Additional parking can be found directly south of the Raclin Murphy in the Eddy Street Commons Parking Garage at 1228 N Eddy Street. Access the parking garage from Eddy Street or the intersection of Napoleon and Burns. The first two hours are free. View rates.

Traveling via SB Transpo

If traveling via South Bend Transpo, take the No.7 bus and use the stop for Notre Dame Avenue and Angela Boulevard.

Traveling by Air

The South Bend International Airport (SBN) is about six miles from the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art and Notre Dame campus.

Other regional options include: O’Hare International Airport in Chicago (120 mi), Midway International Airport in Chicago (100 mi), Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids (120 mi), and the Indianapolis International Airport (150 mi).

Traveling by Train

The South Shore Line trains run directly from downtown Chicago to the South Bend International Airport (about a three-hour trip). The nearest Amtrak station is approximately 4 miles from the Museum.
