Summer Jazz Series: Merrimans' Play-House Players

-

Location: Mary Loretto & Terrence J. Dillon Courtyard

Spend your summer evening grooving to jazz in the Mary Loretto & Terrence J. Dillon Courtyard. Enjoy a cash bar, freshly popped popcorn, and featured works of art during every concert. Bring your own blanket or lawn chair. Picnicking is encouraged.

Merrimans’ Play-House Players features Stephen Merriman (drums), Mary Merriman (bass), Marian Emery (piano), Don Lerman (saxophone), and Jeffery Miller (guitar).

This performance will highlight their enjoyment of one of jazz's most valued traditions--the open session. This format nurtures not only the active player but also the active listener. The open session gives listeners insight into the "method behind the madness" by putting into practice collectively what they've been practicing individually.
